I was asked my opinion on how to connect with different personalities other than of your own in the social scene & this was my advice:
When you walk in a room. There are two suggestive types of people.
CIRCLES, or SQUARES.
The circles could represent a well rounded, or you can say well a’round it individual. As in, their personalities are adaptable in any social nature.
SQUARES..
My definition of a Individual who shows characteristics of a square is a person who chooses to sit in their own solitary confinement based off comfort.
Not giving themselves the chance to experiment with out of the box personalities other than which they are familiar with.
This however, is NOT linked to “cockiness” or the “too good” attitude, but may be traced to anxiety, and for some complete nervousness due to being in a uncomfortable environment.
So take a moment and think which one would you validate yourself with? Having a Circle or Square personality?
How would you deal with this in a social setting?
My suggestion is to pretend you’re a circle. Roll around. Meet new people that has a mind-set different than your own. Show them how to part-take in friendly conversation by being the friendly conversation.
